Turkey Toss

A variation of Montessori's "throwing a ball"

I drew out a turkey face with a wide mouth on a recycled pizza circle and attached it to a shallow basket with a plastic clothespin. I brought it up for the picture, but this was positioned on the floor about 5 ft away from a tape line on my son's bedroom floor. (Amazingly, the only floor clean enough to do this activity.)

The back drop is actually a shoe organizer that I hung on the wall to contain prematched outfits for S2. I did it just in time to go away for a women's conference over the weekend and hubby said he LOVED it!

I snapped this shot as S1 said,
"Turkey isn't full enough" and added a bit more stuffing = )

He played with this for a while. He said it was cool. This activity led to trying to throw and catch the ball between us, which S1 really struggles with. This fits in with his OT goals so it was fun to be able to get some therapy in a festive way. 3 hands were all he wanted to use as feathers though, silly boy. Just pink and red.
